DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with the charitable donation requests

Assist with preparation of Alumni materials (Appearances, Meetings)

Assist with administrative duties (Donation Records/Database, Invoices, Ticket Requests, Phone)

Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned

Assist Fan Development Intern with tasks when able.



SCOPE

This position will allow the members of the Community Relations and Fan Development department to delegate responsibilities thus enabling the group as a whole to become more productive due to increased manpower.

Sony Picture Entertainment’s (SPE) Spectrum Internship Program is a competitive internship program that provides eligible interns with exposure to the operations of a major entertainment studio. During the internship, interns will gain insight into the inner workings of the business and industry dynamics. In addition, interns will work on project-based assignments for the sponsoring department and participate in development events that will enhance their overall internship experience.

The Television Ad Sales Research department is seeking an intern to handle key daily tasks that will enable the team to work even more effectively and efficiently. With the Season 2 and 3 premieres of The Nate Berkus Show and The Dr. Oz Show, respectively, coming up this September, we are looking for an intern to come in early each morning to help download overnight local ratings, print out reports and maintain our local and national ratings repositories by uploading data daily. Further, the intern will be asked to research the competitive television landscape, help prepare and distribute research reports and answer various ad hoc requests as assigned.

By interacting with both local and national ratings data, the intern will learn exactly how syndication ratings are gathered and created and the meaning behind them. With continued exposure to these numbers, we hope that the intern will work toward being able to analyze data for our shows and how they perform compared to the general syndication marketplace. A general knowledge of ratings and research can be the foundation for any career in television.
